Thanks floppy..

Tengahari tadi saya bersama isteri dan anak pergi ke Alamanda Putrajaya untuk membeli barang keperluan rumah di Carrefour. Terlanjur dah sampai di sana, singgahlah kami di Rasa, medan selera di Alamanda. Kebetulan pulak dah tengahari, so makan lunch sekalilah.

“Ada nampak pelik sikitla”, kata isteri saya. “Orang tak ramai sangat makan, padahal dah dekat pukul 1 tengahari dah”, katanya lagi. “Memang cantiklah, takyah nak berebut-rebut cari meja” saya membalas. Saya lihat pun orang tak ramai macam biasa.

Nampak gayanya, lepas beli barang rumah, balik rumah and masak ajelah. Sebelum kenaikan harga minyak, bolehla bawa anak-anak makan KFC or McDonald sebulan sekali, sekarang ni goreng ayam pakai tepung KFC di rumah and makan dengan nasi, lagi jimat. Rasanya pun lebih kurang aje.

Lepasni katanya minyak akan naik lagi bulan Ogos. Kalau jadi RM4 seliter, kena buat adjustment lagi lah nampaknya. Peniaga makanan di Rasa Alamanda pun habis bungkus. Sedangkan 3 hari lepas gaji pun tak ramai orang, apatah lagi di pertengahan bulan bila dah betul-betul ‘kering’.

Damn you Pak Lah for putting us in this position!!

Need a joke?

3 bodies arrived at the hospital for post-mortem. In the autopsy room, the coroner was surprised to see that all 3 corpse had one thing in common: they all died smiling.

So the coroner went to see the police to find out what happened to them. The officer said "guy no. 1 had just won the lottery when he got a heart attack and died".

"I see", replied the coroner. "What happened to guy no. 2?", he asked. "Oh, he just got a big promotion at work when he got a stroke", the officer replied.

"And what about the 3rd guy?", ask the coroner again. The officer replied, "He was struck by lightning".

Puzzled, the coroner said "Oh, but while was he smiling?"

"He thought someone was taking his picture", replied the officer, with a trace of smile on his face.

Ways to teach our kids a lesson

This evening when I came back from work, I saw that our son's play gym is broken. Turns out her elder sister had climbed on it, and the thing broke in half under her weight. My wife scolded Imelda (our daughter's name), and we threatened her by telling her 'mama and abah tak nak kawan dengan melda dah'.

Imelda acted as if she had no remorse at what she'd done, and keep on acting like nothing is going on. She came to me and acting on girly, and I pretend not seeing her, doing the 'tak nak kawan dengan imelda' bit. All my wife and I wanted is for Imelda to apologize to her brother for breaking his play gym. We wanted her to feel responsible for what she did.

But despite us pretending to ignore her, she also played her drama on us, being cute and all. While my wife and I were having dinner, Imelda rocked my wife's chair, trying to be funny. This made my wife angry and Imelda got a taste of her own medicine (cubit and some rotan). I heard her crying in the kitchen while my S.O scolded her for breaking the play gym, and demanded she apologize.

At that moment, it got me thinking, to what extend should we teach our children they have done something wrong. Listening to her crying made me feel guilty. Am I being too mean? After all, we weren't home all day, and night time is the only time our kids can spend time with us. And now, our daughter is is being yelled by her parents after not seeing them for a whole day.

I suppose we can forgive her for what she did, after all it may be just an accident, and being only 4 years old. We can always buy a new play-gym, but the valuable family time tonight is irreplaceable. Tonight, tomorrow night or the night after are not the same. So its important to make every night count.

On my way home today, I bought a box of candy for Imelda. I kept it in the drawer when I found out what happened. Maybe I'll give it to her right after I post this. I'll talk to her nicely, and make her understand what she did in a good way. There are other ways to teach our kids a lesson..

Who are these people?

Who is Aziz Buyong? Who is Norhayati? Suddenly their names starting to appear in blogs all over. It wouldn't be fair to judge them based on allegations made by RPK in his SD. With specific names being mentioned, the IGP should've started their investigations immediately. Even the Hindraf's suspected links to LTTE based on hearsay was being investigated quickly.

But I guess the scariest part is about the 3rd name mentioned, I mean who would've thought she witnessed the strapping of C4 to the victim's body? Sounds too surreal to me. And who others are involved? Time will tell how deep the rabbit hole goes.

If you've read the story on Malaysia Today, please print out a copy and distribute to your friends and family who does not have access to the internet. The mainstream medias are extremely quiet about this issue, and most Malaysians have not heard about it yet. Even BN is keeping their mouth shut so far, none dared to say anything about it.

So its our responsibility to tell everyone we know about it. Let them now how Malaysia is in for a rough ride.

ACA investigating SAPP President

I just heard on the news that ACA is investigating Datuk Yong Teck Lee, the President of SAPP for RM 5 million fraud. This occurs hardly 2 days after SAPP announced their plan to table the motion of no confidence against the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

It seems that flip-flop may have already known about Yong's hidden skeleton, considering the efficiency of ACA probing the case. Then how come no investigation done prior to today? Definitely BN style. Keeping tabs of each other's wrongdoings and saving them for rainy days.

Imagine the scandals exposed if the 'bigger fishes' decide to piss in flip-flop's pool. 5mil would probably be nothing in comparison.
